Listen here, n00b!!

In the word of Marshall Mathers:

Guess who's back? Back again...
Guaji's back! Tell a friend!

Heheps

I've created a monster, 'cause nobody wants to see Eduardo no more
They want Guaji, I'm chopped liver
Well if you want Guaji, then this is what I'll give ya
A little bit of hate mixed with some hard liquor!!

This time I am back to talk about what pisses me off; yes, my dearies, this is in fact That PIsses Me Off the XVth!! Gather round, because I gonna do what I do best: spit fire.

Today's topic: You.... Well, not exactly YOU... unless of course it's "you" reading, in which case, yes, it's about you.

Lately I've been having kind of a situation over and over again. It is not really constant, like an everyday thing, it comes and goes. But it's become really annoying. You see, I've spent my entire adult life following a very simple yet very strict code of conduct: Bushidou. Why? 2 reasons: 1.- I don't like people in funny hats telling me what to do. 2.- I'm stupid like that. So if I'm to follow this code I will need to be honest all the time, right? After all, "A Samurai's words and his actions are one and the same. To 'promise' to do something would be redundant". Growing up I took that, as well as everything else in that code, very literally. So I got screwed a lot. And after a while I figured that I cannot live exactly like that because that code was meant for other times... One has to adapt... I can't go dueling people every time I'm offended, for example. So I will be honest, yes... But the code says nothing about answering all your goddamned questions.

Before long I mastered de art of avoiding questions that I do not want to answer. And, for reasons I will not discuss here, I also learned the art of masquerading myself. Because If the eyes tell one thing and the mouth tells another... Well an old man would smack one of the two with his walking stick, right?.

You can't try to get inside my head, you will fail. Not saying you are a worthless piece of shit, I'm just saying that I have spent some 15 years learning to mask my thoughts and emotions, learning to control my body language, to carefully pick each and every word that comes out of my mouth, and so far no one has been able to read me. Not my parents, not my past girlfriends, not even professional analysts. And if everything else fails I can just decide not to give a damn and shut my mouth.

So you've read a book or two about the subject, so you say you're good with details, so you say you know about semantics and syntax and whatnot.... So what? In the immortal words of James Hetfield: SO FUCKING WHAT?!?

People more qualified than you have tried and failed, crashed and burn; believe me it's not the most desirable thing in life, I often feel misunderstood, AND WITH GOOD REASON. More often than not I get to hear people say shit like "I understand, you don't have to explain it again", but the truth of the matter is that, I DO, because I need to make 200% sure that the people that need to get my meaning, well, GETS my fucking meaning. That is why when I try to explain myself I often take forever, or write very extensive mails to do so, because it's past the point where I can control it; it's not something I can do, it's who I am. And to be honest I like my shell. It's kept me safe before, why the fuck should I lower that for you? Who the fuck are you to begin with? A spoiled brat with bad manners who gets pissed when you don't get things to go your way? A wannabe stalker? Someone desperately trying to get attention trying to find a meaning to my words?

Listen here n00b: Quit it. Look at this here, February 2007, and still no one knows what the fuck that means, except of course the people that I decided to tell. So quit it. Because you.... you..... well Jon fucking Snow knows more than you.

Lyrics.
Holier Than Thou - MetallicA

NO MORE!!!
The crap rolls out your mouth again,
Haven't changed, your brain is still gelatin.
Little whispers circle around your head,
Why don't you worry about yourself INSTEAD!!!

Who are you? Where ya been? Where ya from?
Gossip burning on the tip of your tongue.
You lie so much you believe yourself,
Judge not l'est ye be judged yourself

Holier than thou
You are
Holier than thou
You are

You know not

Before you judge me take a look at you,
Can't you find something better to do?
Point the finger, slow to understand
Arrogance and ignorance go hand in hand.

It's not you are, it's who you know.
Others lives are the basis of your own,
Burn your bridges and build them back with wealth!
Judge not l'est ye be judged yourself

Holier than thou
You are
Holier than thou
You are

You know not

Yeah who the hell are you?
Hey yo

Holier than thou
You are
Holier than thou
You are

You know not

NOT!!!

Winter is comming to an end...

The War is almost over and I want to take time to talk about the Quarter Final rounds, although really there isn't much to talk about... But a man's gotta rant, so here it is.

Germany - France
People have told me that it was a boring game. Well, to be honest, the quarter finals were kind of dull in comparison with last round; but really I do not think the game was boring because it was a game that was played cautiously in which Germany went to counter everything France threw at them. It wasn't spectacular, but they both played well. 6 shots on goal for Germany, 9 for France, 50%/50% ball possession - it was a good game. However, seems to me that Germany was not playing at 100%... Maybe it was the flu, maybe they were lousy, maybe they were saving strength. We'll see.

Argentina - Belgium
Another very even match. Argentina went ahead early on with a beautiful goal by Higuain, who really needed to score a goal, because come on... He was having a pretty shitty War. Belgium showed that they are not just lucky, they're good! And what's more, they're young. Next time they'll not only be a surprise, they'll be scary.

Netherlands - Costa Rica
Good thing Costa Rica lost. Seriously, I'm glad. I was tired of having to listen to people say that they deserve this or that... They didn't deserve to win. In the round of 16, goalkeepers shone like never before! 82 saves in 8 matches - Tim Howard alone kept the ball from going in 16 times! That's a record, btw. out of those 82, do you know how many saves belong to Karnezis? None. And how many saves do you think that the Netherlands Goalkeeper scored in the quarter finals? Lemme tell you: just one. You can't win a match like that, Costa Rica got what they deserved: a tie. They go home unbeaten, boys that's something to be proud of, but van Gaal and his boys are the one that deserve to be on the next round.

Brazil - Colombia
I really didn't wanted to talk about this but... I just can't keep my mouth shut. Yes, the ref have sucked and everyone has been affected by them, but the amount of times that the referees have favoured Brazil is so high that it has stopped to seem like a coincidence, and is starting to look like a conspiracy of sorts. Since the start of the match Fernandinho was on James's back, foul after foul, and he never saw a yellow card. James on the other hand was booked when he first fouled a man, in the second half that is. Julio Cesar's foul? That's a penalty and red card! "Bye-Bye man, wish your team good luck against Germany"! But no, he "lived to tell the tale". That goal that was called of side? That is very questionable! The ref did not call it offside as the ball traveled, he did it when the ball was already on the ground with all the chaos that followed. So, if the Colombians were indeed offside, why wait? Was he really waiting to see what would happen? Because if he didn't call the offside when the ball was in the air and then the ball hit David Luis, as it did, that means that everything that followed was allowed, including Yepes's goal. That is one mystery for the ages. And as far as I've read, FIFA congratulated the referee for his great performance and is a strong candidate for the Final Match. Mighty Cthulhu, please do not let this come to pass. Anyhow, Brazil won, and even with the ref supporting the home team they might have beaten Colombia but, without Thiago, Neymar their chances against Germany are lower; and if Julio Cesar had been expelled, those chances would have been lower still... Not counting the numerous yellow cards he should have shown. So can you see why I say that it is starting to seem a bit fishy?

Round of 16

I'm an atheist, but I have no idea how to explain how fucking awesome this 8 games were! I can no longer keep cool an talk about wars and Houses and Banner men. No battle holds more glory than this, this is the World Cup! 5 games ended up having extra time, 2 of them ended in PK!

First day was:
Brazil vs Chile and Colombia vs Uruguay.
Colombia won, fair and square. Actually the only "boring" game. Columbia clearly dominated Uruguay, who felt the absence of Suarez. Great game by Colombia and James, who is as of now, and by far, the best player in the cup.
Brazil - Chile? it was the first heart stopping game. Chile gave it all.... ALL!! And, I don't want to be mistaken with a hater... I hate Brazil, but the game ended up tied to 1 only because of and own goal. The penalty kicks were terrible to watch, so much tension! Julio Cesar's great performance got Brazil ahead and now they're in the quarter finals

Second day:
Netherlands vs Mexico and Costa Rica vs Greece
Mexico fought like they're never fought, and lost like always. Very awesome game, but the decisions from Mexico's DT fucked the game for his players. You cannot score a goal, a very awesome goal I might add, and just lay back and wait for the game to end! The Netherlands on the other hand fought for it, until the end. And finally a PK decided the game.... BTW, that foul DID existed. Robben exaggerated, yes, but it was a PK.
Then Costa Rica, honestly disappointed me. I hoped to see an awesome game, but the truth of the matter is that Greece did absolutely nothing! Even when Costa Rica scored, they did NOTHING! Only like the last 15 minutes did Greece went for it, and son of a bitch, they did score... I hate these guys squeezing into everything competition. Anyhow, Costa Rica won in the PKs

Third day:
France vs Nigeria and Germany vs Algeria
France fought for it! They weren't, you know, great... they were actually kind of lousy, but they went for it; they never stopped trying and in the end they won the match.
Germany on the other hand... They pissed me off. Yes, Algeria neutralized their game, but then they forgot that there can be other options. All they did was pass the ball amongst themselves, they forgot that they could have shot from mid-distance, they could have tried to take advantage of players with great header skills such as Muller and Klose. And the line of defence sucked! How many times did Neuer had to go out of the area to kick the ball out!? Anyhow they won 2 -1 after extra time.

Fourth day
Argentina vs Switzerland and Belgium vs U.S.A.
Belgium played wonderfully, finally we're getting to see these boys play the way we expected them to play, what a game. they finished the 1st half of the extra time 2-0 over U.S.A. with a great performance by Lukaku who went in and brought fresh legs to Belgium's offence. But the Yanks never gave up, they scored one hell of a goal, one of the best so far in my opinion, and they were close to equalize the game a couple f times more. Great game.
Argentina on the other hand. Wow. What a game. The first half was kind of boring to be honest, seemed like they were sizing each other's strength, but starting on the second half we had one of the most exiting games I've ever seen in my life Argentina was pushing hard, and Switzerland made wonderful counter attacks, every time they went up against Romero all of Argentina trembled. Finally after 118 minutes of suffering Di MAria scored a goal.... Words cannot explain what I heard from Pablo Giralt, who works for DirecTV Sport... Here's the clip.

And the emotion all over Buenos Aires will never be forgotten.... Listen to this...

I really hope that these quarter finals are as exiting as the Round of 16

Winter is Here...

...And what a War we've had so far!

People said it's been full of surprises, but really, to me there's only been 2 Group D and Group H.
The preliminary phase is over, 16 armies must now head back home, and enjoy the rest of the War in the comfort of their homelands.

The next events, starting this weekend, are as follows...

Saturday:
House Canarinho will face House La Roja, and later House Cafeteros will face House Charrua.
What can I say. It's kind of sad that, out of 5, 4 CONMENBOL armies will face each other in this round. Feels like a qualifying round. House Canarinho has the home field advantage, but House La Roja is not to be taking lightly, after all "la wea esta fome qliao wea!". House Cafeteros is a powerhouse and House Charrua will go to battle without it's prime banner man, Luis "OMNOMNOM" Suarez.

Sunday:
House Oranje will face House Tri and House Ticos will face House Ethniki.
Well House Oranje's 2 biggest banner men (Cabeza de Rodilla and The Flying Dutchman) are on fire, And The Ticos are a sight to behold, one of the 2 surprises this war have given me. I'm even gonna bother talking about House Tri, and as for the Greeks: Fuck them. The squeezed their way in, yes - But they DO NOT deserve to be here.

Monday:
House Les Bleus will face House Super Eagles and House Nationalmannschaft will face House Greens (I tries, but never found the pronunciation in Arabic)
Les Blues are always powerful opponents, but the terrain in Brazil might work in favor of House Super Eagles. And the same can be told about the other battle that will take place that day.

Tuesday:
Finallu House Albiceleste will face House Schweizer Nati and House Red Devils will meet House Yanks.
The Albiceleste's banner man is on fucking fire but on the group stage they didn't face any true opponents. House Red Devils have a young Army but can they stand up to The Yanks and their more experienced army? Can they outmatch a great General such as Klinsmann?

That Pisses Me Off, Part XIV

Lately I have seen a lot of people on the internet trying to be philosophers, and when I say trying I mean failing miserably; specially children! 13 year old brats trying to give life lessons and everything! The arrogance! But that is not the problem - it takes a different, much more powerful kind of mamahuevo to to unnerve me; right, Ale? The problem with this new brand of free thinkers and philosopher is not that they actually believe themselves to be wise beyond their age, is that they think that they are wise beyond YOUR age as well.

I do not want to underestimate anyone, man, I respect everyone and I have absolutely no idea what they've been through to obtain such alleged wisdom... BUT... Neither do they know what I've been through! Because if my friends, CLOSE FRIENDS, like Ale, Panda, Napo and Chino have no clue what has happened in my life (except for whatever short stories I've told them), then these Cyber-Nietzsches surely are in complete ignorance. So, what happens when you try to look all mighty and wise? You look stupid.

"Guaji, what did you just called me?"

Stupid. I called you stupid! If you behave like stupid person would, if you talk like a stupid person would and if you think like a stupid person would... My friend, then you are just being stupid. And you know what makes look even more stupid? When you write, with all your pompous stupidity, about something someone did WRONG and how you'd do it RIGHT, and then - given the chance - you make the same mistake or even a worse one. I'm fucking tired of reading "I am a great advice giver", "I am a great observer and pay attention to detail" or "I have been trough it all" and then you give terrible advice, miss a critical detail that blow in your face or you happen to be 10.

"So you're fucking perfect, huh?"

I never said I was. I just keep my "wisdom", if there's any, to myself and to anyone who asks. And if I ever go public I never go around saying what should have been done or what I would have done. Actually, if you read this blog, you'll find a lot of "this happened to be for not being more of an asshole" and none of "Gee man, same thing happened to me. Here's the thing..." I only do that if someone ASK me for advice. You know why? Because I'm not a philosopher, I'm just a simple human being. And so are you... Only you're more stupid than me.

I should bring back the lyrics... How this one for this post?

Winter is coming...

... and it starts June 12, this year. The first two armies to clash will be House Canarinho - winners of five wars - and House Vatreni, hailing from Slavic lands. They will meet in the Arena de São Paulo. That will be only the first of 64 heart felt clashes of titans.

As of right now, as I am typing this, there is only 49 days and 13 hours until it starts.

So, if you consider yourself my friend, and have no idea how to behave around me during that time... I, Lord Guaji, Son of Fuenma, of House Metal, First of my Name, Keeper of the Book of Heberto and Warden of Los Naranjos give thee some guidelines:

1. Either watch the damn war or at least read something about it so that we have something to talk about.
2. If there's a battle going on, I WILL NOT be available.
3. During the war, if you're in my house, the TV will be showing The War. Only The War. All the time.
4. If you have to walk in front of me while I'm watching one of the battles, please feel free to do so... in all fours. Do not obstruct my view in anyway.
5. While I'm watching a battle I am deaf. I will not listen to you unless it's the time in which the soldiers pause to take a break. You have something to say about the battle itself? Prove yourself knowledgeable in the matter first, then you may do so.
6. If you come to my house, bring ale.
7. If you see me upset because House Nationalmannschaft is loosing a battle, do not try to cheer me up. I will not lighten up, IT IS NOT A GAME!
8. The replays are as important as the live feed. I WILL watch them. Over and over again.

Well, 8 commandments. That's two less than the Carpenter gave you, so call me merciful. But I do have the right to make more of these up if the need arises.

Truly yours:
Guaji

Impostor

When I was a kid, maybe 10 years old, I was playing with some other kids in my Grandma's house. We were disusing folk ghost tales, and this one kid was all like "Yeah, El Carreton is the worse"... Now, I'm sure I would have freaked out if not for one fact: What the fuck is a Carreton? So this kid goes on saying what the dude was and it was scary, at least for a "maybe 10 years old" kid like me. I've always been skeptic, so I told him "Sauce or GTFO".... Well, actually I told him "Where did you came up with that?", because it sounded too cool to be made up, so he comes and says "My brother has a Gillman tape that's filled with these kind of stories". Gillman, huh? I'll check it out.

Wrong. Thing. To do.

Like I said, I was like 10. And back then metal was bad. Let me tell you how bad. Metal = Drugs. Metal = Violence. Metal = Satanic Sects. Funny fact: My parents always told me to beware of those, but they did SUCH a bad job that I had no idea what to be on the look out for! I had no idea what Satanic meant, and I had no idea what a Sect was. So if some guy came offering me candy I might have took it, because he was obviously not a Satanic Sect, he was a human being. Anyhow... My parents intervened and well, after hours of lecturing that I though stupid because I had done NOTHING wrong, I just listened to a couple of songs, it was no more metal for me.

They. Fucking. Lost.

My mom has a aunt, and this lovely lady has 4 sons that are between 6 and 10 years older than me; and they were a big influence in my life, because my parents were always like "Look at Rafael, he's doing great at school", or "Look at Domingo, he lives in Caracas and still calls to talk to his mother", so I kind of look up to them, AND WITH GOOD REASON, they really are exemplary human being. But that backfired, because a couple of years after the "Metal = Eternal Damnation" speech, I was hanging out with them, and guess what kind of music they liked? I'll tell you: Collective Soul, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers... So little by little I came to find out about KoRn, Limp Bizkit, Metallica, Megadeth and so on and so forth. And then it hit me... Wha... Wait... It's coming to me... There's a guy.... El Carreton!... GILLMAN!!

Fuck. Yeah.

This guy was the real deal. I mean all that Soda Stereo, Zapato 3... All nice, but it was not my thing. This guy was a true Metal Head, a real rebel, a "Warrior", like one of his songs said. They guy rocked hard, and he sings in Spanish! Wow, a Spanish speaking Metal Head! And he wrote songs like this one.

Then this fucker does something like this. (Read the link, please. It's in Spanish)

"Oh, Guaji, but you have to understand, everyone is allowed to have an opinion in politics"

Fuck. You.

And fuck him. That is not what this is about. You can have all the faith you want in whatever the fuck you like, but you do not talk trash about politicians just to turn around and then become a kiss ass of one of such said being, that is betraying your convictions, that's what it is. Besides, politicians are not people to be loved, they are people either aspiring to, or with a job that's about the administration of a Country, or a tiny piece of one. Now... Let's say you have a business, and you hire a guy, and they guy fucks up, turns out he's not the guy for the job. What do you do? You fire the guy, because your business is suffering for it right? Same goes with Presidents, Governors, Mayors, Congressmen and so on and so forth. So if/when Leopoldo Lopez, or Capriles takes the presidency, and they fuck up even a little bit you WILL listen to me saying what kind of assholes I think they are... Just as you've heard me talk trash about Manuel Rosales, Pablo Perez and Eveling de Rosales... Stupid assholes saying that one guy in power for too long is bad when that old fart did 2 terms Mayor, 2 terms Governor, ran for President and then came back to Mayor while running his right hand man for Governor and, later, his wife for Mayor. Stupid.

Why am I writing this? I am truly ashamed of listening to Gillman. I've got his music on my iPod and I never play it. I'm ashamed of saying I've banged my head to him. I never went to a Gillmanfest. I know you were always kind of "de izquierda", you did write songs like Victima de la Sociedad (Victim of Society)... But one thing is being "de izquierda" and another one is being blind to the truth and a become a turn coat. "This is wrong" then, a couple of years and a truck load of money later, you're all "This is amazing". And the worse thing is... This Maduro guy is not Chavez, man.

You said it yourself man: "El tiempo descubre a los impostores" (Time tells on impostors).

And yes, those things published there, those tweets are old. And his support for those in power is old news. But Levantate y Pelea (Stand Up and Fight) is 30 years old this year. And now, more than ever, hurts to listen to that. Specially since I really like that song.

I will break my own rule....

.... just this once.

The problem is as follows:

The government of Venezuela, in recent years, went from the hands of bastards at the hands of other bastards. Nothing changed except the level of education of the bastards in power. And by education I do not mean just at school and university... no. THAT is the problem, and those who came before are at fault, those who never cared to educate Venezuela, because an educated population is harder to lie to and to manipulate. Then came a degenerative process to our society and economy. How sad, huh? Oh, so I'm wrong? Very well then, tell me which of the Venezuelan presidents (from Perez Jimenez to present times) would have been successful in countries like Sweden, Germany, Japan, Switzerland and even France and England. Do a comparison and see that, the closer to present times, the less chance the guy has! Because populism and demagoguery, which are the best friends of whomsoever wants to govern around here, do not work elsewhere.

Give a man a fish and he eats for a day, teach him to fish and he eats forever.
Then you get a fish, and what do you do? You ask for another one the next day and hope all is well. Meanwhile, your future is going to hell, because you know not how to fish; and meanwhile you learn to hate those who know how to fish; meanwhile you fanatically protect whomsoever gave you a fish.

Germany and Japan went through hell after the war, which ended in 45. Some 10 years later we had a dictatorship, we got rid of it and we were enjoying a good economy. Germany and Japan, WITH EVERYTHING THEY WENT THROUGH are way better than we are today.

Thank you very much to all Venezuelan presidents for handing out fish for everyone.

PD: Fucking politicians make me made this my first post of the year instead of a reckoning of all the nice things about last year. A plague on them. ALL OF THEM.

Vienna, on a particularly cold Christmas Eve

Vienna, December 24, 1999.

Around midnight a man sat in front of his desk reading a book, a collection of works by Mister Edgar Allan Poe. He pulled his long, wavy hair back with one hand while still holding the book with the other. He had just re-read one of his favorites: The Raven. And that last part still rang heavy in his mind.

"And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor
Shall be lifted - nevermore!"

This man was cursed. Cursed to live forever in darkness, to drink only blood, to eat only ashes, to always be as he was at death. Never dying, ever living, to walk forever in darkness until the last days. This was a minor problem to him, throughout his unlife he had taken advantage of his condition; but sometimes he hits a low point and angst and anxiety takes hold of him, and a shadow is cast over him that made him be aware just how vastly empty he felt.

That was absurd. He was in a position of certain power, Sheriff of Vienna; he had servants. This was a man that had fought and clawed his way to get there, his enemies always spoke his name half whispered... He was feared. But tonight, this monster was the one that was afraid.

"What are you doing?" he said softly, frowning, and then he heard a noise. Footsteps. Someone was coming. He stood very still. He knew that if he did, whomever walked in the room would not notice him, and his eyes turned like those of a beast, and the darkness became clear as daylight to him. The door opened, but it was not gang members send to kill him. It was a just little girl carrying a poorly wrapped present and a woman; Annie and Dianna. His progeny. He relaxed, let himself be seen by them and the little girl ran towards him, tripped and began to fall... But he wouldn't let that happen, not to her. He moved with supernatural speed and caught her before she hit the ground.

-"For fuck sake, Annie...!" He loved that girl like a daughter, but he was a little rough with words.
Annie just smiled, handed him the present and told him, in the worst Italian you will ever hear -"Buon Natale, Marko!" all the while smiling like a golden haired angel.
The man look at the woman, they had known each other long enough to know what the other was thinking without even speaking... This, all this was the little girl's idea, and there was nothing nobody could have done or said to stopped her from getting that Kittie CD, a more or less mediocre band "But they are all girls, and Marko likes girls". Those were the words she told Dianna when she tried to convince her it was a bad idea.

The man saw this in the woman's eyes. He realized he was still holding the book in his left hand. He placed it on the floor as he rubbed his eyes with his right hand fingers. Then he looked back at the little girl and smiled as he took the present from her hands and softly said to her -"Grazie!. You guys are truly something."

------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you can understand what I mean by this, then you know I wrote this for you.
Either way, Merry Christmas all.

Trippy trip to Noken 5

Last Friday I left for Caracas to take The Nihongo Nouryoku Shiken, meaning The Japanese Language Proficiency Test. Most of you already knew this, and although it was overall a good trip, I'm gonna rant a bit about our getting there and coming back home experiences.

Friday. The day that we left.
Nothing much to say here to be completely honest. The bus was delayed for about 30 to 45 minutes, but who really gives a fuck, right? I mean, I was with friends. Some of them I knew really well, some of them I knew right there, but one good thing about GOEN Maracaibo is that they're all good people there.
So the bus finally came, and we finally left. Got stuck at Rafael Urdaneta Bridge for like an hour, you know, GNB "doing their job".... Meaning one of them checking if he could hitch a ride with us. And he did! Turns out he was a nice guy, it seems. Offered help to guide people in Caracas once we got there and everything.
End of day one.

Saturday. The day that we arrived.
It was going all too good, we had fun, we joked, some people studied, I scared Panda-Senpai and Luci-Senpai... NI KAI!!!.... And then the bus died on us around... I don't know, early morning. It just died. At least he passed away peacefully (you will understand that joke later on). So, for what it seemed like an eternity, but was maybe an hour tops, he driver tried to bring the bus back to life, but to no avail. So he called in for back up, since we where actually pretty close to Caracas. Maybe 40 minutes away. We were talking and, we've all done road trips in that same company many times before and no one had never had anything like that happened before... Except Diego-Senpai, who said that this always happened to him. So we decided it was his fault and proceeded to joke about it for the rest of the trip. What we did not know at the moment was that the joke would intensify later on.
Well about an hour went by while the other bus came along. It finally came, we got up and resumed our trip. Got to Caracas at about 11am when we should have arrived around 8 or 9. I stayed with my cousin for the weekend so I parted ways with GOEN there. I spent the day with my cousin and his wife (I love this two very much, and not because they let me stay there) and went to a birthday party that night. Pretty much and uneventful night, except for the fact that I saw a crazy cat lady. The woman had like 30 cats or so. The smell was unbearable.
End of day two.

Sunday. Nihongo Nouryoku Shiken.
Got up. Got ready. Had a light breakfast. Got moving. Got there.
The anticipation was killing me, although it was good to meet with the other guys that had not taken the bus ride with us, like both Luis-Senpai, Ari-Chan, Carlos and Steph-Senpai. By the way, a joke. I had this pin on my Iron Maiden cap, it reads "I'm Fucking Metal" and every time I get the chance I joke with it, something like "What, you thought I wouldn't do it? Bitch, please! What does it say on my pin?". Well I was really freaking out and Luci came and said "Enough, what does it say on your pin?"... So I had o cut the crap.
Anyway, the test started. Noken 5 is divided into 3 parts. 1st part was pretty standard stuff, vocabulary, kanji. Got a few wrong, but overall I did ok. Then came the grammar. It was hellish. The stuff of nightmares. A little bathroom break and then the final part: Audio. Fucking nailed it. I really have no idea of knowing just exactly how well I did because I do not know how the examination actually works, but I think I got it. I hope I got it. I better get it.
Then I parted with the guys from GOEN, went to have lunch with friends from school and with my cousin, who by the way went to the same school ad I did. We had a great time at this BBQ joint, "Llanero"Style. It was good and cheap =D. Had a great time with them, but time grew short, so we went to get my stuff, I took the 3 S's (The shit, the shave and the shower) and on to the bus station. Got there, said my farewell to my cousin Martin and Vivi, his wife. Got everything ready and then the journey back home begun.
End of day Three.

Monday. They day all Hell broke loose.
I'll be honest with you: I was having a bad trip. I was feeling nauseous, couldn't sleep, but hey! Look on the bright side, right? We talked a lot, joked a lot and despite the fact that I wasn't feeling good it was an Ok trip. We were making good time and all. Then, at about, I don't know... 5am maybe.. less than 3 hours away from home, the driver made a sudden trun. I had to hold on to something because it was really sudden, then it felt like one of the tires had exploded, another quick trun trying not to loose control, and then the bus died. Most of the passengers woke up and we started to blame the thing on Diego-Senpai, of course. The driver started the bus again, we moved a little bit and then we stoped for a while. Afetr some 20 minutes, the driver came up and told us what happened: we had hit 2 horses that were asleep on the middle of road.
You read it right: TWO fucking horses.
Luckily enough, no one was hurt. Except the horses, who did not died as peacefully as the bus on our way to Caracas.
So we had to head back to a truck stop and stayed there for a long while. The driver called the company and they said they were sending another bus. The problem is they had no back up buses, so we really had no clue when we were gonna get "rescued". The jokes on Diego-Senpai's bad luck grew to a point where I didn't find it funny, but there were two jokes that killed me:
1.- Miguel said: If we got on a plane with you, it is most likely that we hit a Pegasus in mid air
2.- Panda-Senpai bought Diego a wooden toy horse. Lol

We were fucking stranded there and then the driver told us to get in the bus and try to make it to Maracaibo. Unlikely, since the windshield was broken and the suspension all fucked up, some one (meaning the police or something) was gonna stop us. And indeed they did. So after hours of waiting finally the bus company paid these guys that own small buses to get us here. And I mean San Jacinto like buses. It took 2 of them to get us all moving along. I took the second one with my closest friends, and around 10am, maybe 10:30am, we were back on the road. From there on it was uneventful and boring. We were tired, spent, and a bit grumpy. But our spirits were still up. Always look on the bright side of life. We got to Maracaibo at around 2:00 - 2:30pm, depending on which bus you took. Said our goodbyes and went home to eat, sleep and tell a lot of stories. I was gonna meet some friends for dinner... but guess what? You're right. Lights out. So screw dinner. But that my friends, is something you can read about on the news.
End of day Four.

Thus ends my, very heartfelt, story about my trip to take the Nihongo Nouryoku Shiken. I hope you enjoyed. To conclude, I would like to quote a band which I'm not very fond of, but a line from one of their songs fit here perfectly.

"Through the fire and the flames we carry on!"

Good night, everyone.

Meh...

Someone told me once to tidy up my room... Well actually a lot of people have told me that, hell my mom says that to me every other day, but the point is that this girl, a friend of mine mind you, told me to tidy up my room because your room reflects how you're feeling inside.

Well inside must be pretty fucked up then.

The only problem with that is that, for something to be fucked up, there HAS TO be something. Otherwise it's just nothing.... Right, guys? Get it? Nothing?... Heheps heheps... Erm...
Anyways, what I'm trying to say is that these days there's this emptiness that fills me, however stupid and illogical that may sound. There's nothing. There, where a lot once was, nothing but shadows trying to hold on to some half forgotten identity remain.

You see, the older I get, the more things I have to give up, that's life. But I'm not an old man, no matter how much my friends joke about it. I'm only 30, and already have given up so much. And for what point and purpose? Maybe it's the beer talking, or maybe it's because I am so goddamn nervous about the stupid test I have to take this Sunday, or maybe it's everything that's been happening in this spec of land we call a country... But this sucks.

And yeah, I just quoted Rocky, and if you thinking about giving me an inspirational quote, like "It ain't about how hard you're hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward"... That's crap. I love those movies man, except for Rocky V of course... Piece of shit movie... But let's be realistic. Yeah, I can keep moving forward. I have shown you I can, man. The problem is the same problem that have been and the same problem that will ever be: Is it worth it?

I have no answer for that.

Politics

Let me just be clear from the get go: I HATE POLITICS. I do, I really do; there is nothing that makes my rage go up as high and as quick as politics.... Well, maybe Emos, but they're not a problem these days.
...
...
...
Stupid Emos.
...
...
...
Anyway. On to the point.

The other day my dad was talking about the situation that's been going on here in the last few days, the whole ransacking shit. Some say it's this guy's fault other say it's the other guy's fault and to be honest I couldn't care less who's fault it is; bottom line is, some dude came up on TV and said "People, go nuts" and people went nuts. Now I know for a fact that merchants are making less money than they are expending, IF THEY MAKE MONEY AT ALL, because some people are just stealing shit! And my dad comes up and says, all triumphant, all filled with pride, like some super hero just got here to rescue us "The president of Fedecamaras asked the government to show record of whom they have delivered the dollars to", because, you know, if they got their merchandise at a "fair price" they should be selling at a "fair prize"... That's the government's excuse for all this; and if they happen to be making this up, that means they lose, right? I said to him "What does it matters if they have compelling evidence of everything they say the government have done wrong?". He just got mad a me and called me a pessimist, that we have to believe that something will happen. I've got news for you:

YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR SOMETHING TO HAPPEN SINCE 1998!

And nothing's happened, and nothing will EVER happen. No one will do anything. And you're stuck with this dude until A.- They all magically die... Unlikely, B.- Someone pulls a coup SUCCESSFULLY, C.- All hell breaks lose, or D.- We get a visit from Uncle Sam.

Like I told you before, I hate politics, all of it! At least the politics I am accustomed to... meaning they way they do politics here. Maybe politicians in other countries do their job well, but not here. I definitely don't like the guys in charge but I DO NOT like the other guys either. They're weak. They call themselves "opposing party", but it's more like "whining about others and do nothing party". "Oh, but, guaji... We want peace, and protect lives and all that hippie crap shit, not all out mayhem" Open your goddamn eyes. We have no peace, people die everyday... A LOT... we have none of that hippie crap, but instead we have all out mayhem. So what are we really protecting?

People. Lets face it. They all suck. They ALL have sucked. I mean, I only 30 years old, right? Some people (mainly old farts) may even call me a "kid". But I have a dad, and a mom, and I used to have a lot of grandparents, although now there's only one left alive. And my mom and dad have uncles and aunties... and I have known all of them, and their friends! I have sat down and talk to them. Old people. People that's 70 and 80 years old. And they have never talked nicely about ANY GOVERNMENT. In fact the last time I heard someone say something like "in those times, you could sleep with the front door open" or "people lived good" or "Venezuela moved forward economically" or "we had a great infrastructure development in that time", they were talking about Marcos Perez Jimenez.

And he was a dictator.

So
Fucking
Sad

So. I've spoken my mind. Next time you're feeling like telling me "Maduro rocks" or "Maduro sucks", just don't, man. I hate politics. You don't see me telling religious people to quit their religion because I dislike it. You don't see me telling my brother how fucking awesome I think Metal is, because I know he doesn't like Metal. So please, PLEASE, do not talk to me about politics. Wanna write about it, do it! I'll just don't read it and we can all be happy. But one thing is to post something somewhere, and another VERY DIFFERENT thing is to sat down next to me and start a conversation saying "So, how about that Daka situation?". Don't do that, please. There's a lot of other interesting things to talk about.

Thank you in advance.

Yours truly:
HeavyMetalGuaji.

Madonna

There is a guy I'm starting to really dislike, and I mean REALLY dislike. It's not like "Shut the fuck up, dude" or "Go fuck a goat, man"... No no, it's more like "We do not speak the name of the devil in this house of god" kind of stuff.

I met the guy at a friend's birthday party, and let me tell you something: I had heard stories of a douchebag so great that knows no boundaries; that this physic plane of existence in which we live cannot contain his douchbagness... But I was skeptic. Even when my viking-like life long friend told me that this guy was unbearable, I remained a skeptic. Guess what? The guy is not as much a douchebag as my friend told me... He's worse.

He is so powerfully mamahuevo, that I have not to deal with the guy to automatically be annoyed by him. Believe me, I have crossed like 3 sentences with him, and I can't stand his comments. You know what the problem is? When you're dead, you don't know that you are dead... It is only difficult for the people that's around you (or rather "were" around you), and it is the same thing with stupidity.

I was willing to let go, just complain to those that would find it funny until it just gets old and shit, but this morning he said something that exceeded my expectations. A girl I know just got surgery, she had too much of a "condition" (tee hee) and that was causing her a problem, so she took care of that. Now this whimpering simian comes and says that it's her fault, that the problem is not biological in nature but is an attitude problem, and that she should have not agreed to the surgery because, in a way, it is offensive. BTW, I'm not saying what exactly happened unless I'm given permission to write about it; in the end I'm here to trash someone and that is not her, but him... HIM!!! Dude, 100.000 sperm, and you were the fastest?!.

This guy... Jesus... I mean, seriously...

I'm gonna be a good guy. We have a problem. I'm gonna do as YOU would, and use my will to end this problem. This is me doing an attitude change, so that we all can get better.

Lyrics? Of course!

"I know the type"

I will start this in the same way that H.P. Lovecraft began The Thing on The Doorway, with a sentence that I will write again at the end of this post.

So let it be written, let it be known: You DO NOT know me. You never did. I mean, how could you have ever known me?

When I was living in Caracas I met this girl right, she was a decent person, cute and everything; but she had one problem: a closed mind. A closed mind should be considered a terminal disease. A terminal disease stops you from living, I mean, how the hell are you gonna live your live strapped to a bunch of cables and shit? It's sad, it's harsh, but we know it to be true. That is why people sign those DNR things! And so, in a way, a closed mind stop us from living.

When I met her, this girl thought she knew me. She took one look at me and thought: "metal head, likes video games, likes anime... He's nice, but I know the type". Well, that pissed me off a little bit, to be honest, but I didn't care what she thought of me so fuck her and her friends, whom we called "Yupies" because of some weird caraque~an reason that escapes my understanding. But let's imagine for a moment, if you will, that the humble guy writing this crap right here DID care for the girl, what do you think would have happened? I'll tell you, she would have said something like "it's not gonna work". Everyone is entitled to their opinion, that would have been hers and my answer would have been "if we do not try, we'll never know". It could have been awful, or I could have been the love of her life, and she missed on the opportunity to be with a guy that would have made her happy in ways that no one else could have and with whom she could have lived the most wonderful of experiences.

See my point now? No? Let's try this another way.

I was in a long term relationship with a girl some years afterwards, we hurt each other like crazy, we broke up after 4 years, but in the end I regret NOTHING. Even with all the problems we could have had, those 4 years taught me more than any other 4 years of my life. I had a great time, I loved her like I have never loved anyone and, even though we went through a lot, I felt alive. I could have said "She's nice, but I know the type", and I would have passed on 4 great years.

If you're not getting it you're just playing dumb.

Why am I writing this? As usual, I need to get some shit off my chest because of some recent stuff. I would tell her straight but she's too stubborn and would not get it. BELIEVE ME, I have tried. I met you, I let you in, I grew up by doing so. I'm not the same guy. I know now that I can be more tolerant than I thought I could. I know that I am willing to do a lot more for that person, not because she ask, but because I want to, because I can. I got to know you! In fact, I wish you would have let me in... But you didn't.

So let it be written, let it be known: You DO NOT know me. You never did. I mean, how could you have ever known me?

It's ok. I'm not mad, you can do whatever you want. It's a free country... mostly.

Mira vos...

Anyhow...
See you around, I hope.

Mid Season Finale - The Duel

Tsuma, 1019. On a cold spring night.

Doji Satsume, The Emerald Champion, was known as The Grinning Crane. He once was with The Emperor's Guard and, during a ninja incursion, he got a scar that goes from his left eyebrow to the corner of his mouth while protecting The Hantei. As the wound healed, it contracted the skin of his face leaving him with a permanent half-grin. A constant reminder, for him and anyone else, of his loyalty to The Emerald Throne.

Lately, tensions between his Clan, which he still led, and the Lion, and his duties as Emerald Champion have left him to rely more and more on his son, Hoturi, despite their relationship not being the best. But tonight he was faced with something he could not pass onto Hoturi, something that could increase the tension between the aforementioned Clans: Ichiro Akimoto, The Champion of the Badger Clan was slain. And the only witness was a boy who had not gone through gempukku: Bayushi Sugai, Bayushi Kachiko's nephew.

Just moments ago Sugai had given his testimony, claiming that one of Ichiro's retinue was an infiltrated ninja that had slain him and his yojimbos. "Fortunately, I was drawn to the sounds of battle, took a sword from one of the fallen, chased the traitor and killed him". With no other witnesses to counter his story and evidence of a ninja attack in the corpses The Emerald Champion praised Sugai for his actions although it may be clear to many in the room, Otaku Shiko included, that Sugai was not telling everything or was involved in the murder somehow. But Rokugani justice concerns itself with direct evidence an eyewitness accounts, not suspicion and deduction. So everyone stood quiet... Everyone but Otaku Shiko.

"You cannot leave yet, he IS the killer! You all know this to be truth!" Those had been Otaku Shiko's words to Doji stasume. The room was silent as a crypt. All eyes were locked onto Otaku Shiko. Only the hiss of The Emerald Champion's breath could be heard as he tried to contain his anger and decide the fate of the young and impetuous samurai-ko. Sugai, however broke the silence "You have insulted the honor of My Lady Kachiko and mine!! Such a stain can only be cleansed by your death."

Silence. Then a nod from the Emerald Champion and the duel was sanctioned.

Satsume left the room before it happened and left Bayushi Shoju, Akodo Toturi and Doji Hoturi as witness. Otaku Shiko and her companions were shocked when they saw students of the Kakita Iaiutsu school bring in beautiful katanas as they realized how serious this matter was.

Shiko was nervous. She wasn't expecting this. She was young, inexperienced, and she had made a terrible etiquette breach, but she meant no disrespect; at least not to Lady Kachiko anyways. But now she could barely grasp the severity of her mistake. Both Sugai and Shiko took the swords, stood in front of each other but only she bowed. Both took the dueling stance. Kitsu Mitsuko saw the flaw on Shiko's technique just an instant before the duelists drew their blades. Saugai bested his opponent with ease, but she did not die with a single stroke. Shiko fell to the floor with tears in her eyes as Sugai walked towards her and slowly raised his sword. With a swift motion he cut off her head.

He took a cloth from his pocket, cleaned his sword and respectfully gave it back to the students that brought it. He bowed to the witnesses and glared at Shiko's companions as he went out. The first witness to leave was Bayushi Shoju, Hoturi looked at Toturi for a moment and then they both stood up and left, leaving Shiko's companions shocked, and alone in the room.

The Copycat, Episode 02

Al clon... not so much.

The Copycat, Episode 01

The Copycat, Episode Zero

You got it.

Again: Anthem!!!!

Wow, long time no writing. Work's got me pretty busy but the real thing is that I've been tinkering with tumblr and G+ for a time now. Anyhow, I've already made an Anthem post here, but I'm making a new one because my elven nakama asked (more like commanded me) to make one; and I know just what to do.

Recently I shared a video on G+ and he liked it, it was about a live performance these guys made in 2005, it was the 20th Anniversary Tour. I'm gonna post some videos while talking about the band... you know, for educational purposes.

This is the 1st song of the show, Onslaught, from their album Eternal Warrior (2004). It show the current line up which is Shibata "Ski" Naoto on bass, Sakamoto Eizo on vocals, Shimizu Akio on guitar and Homma Hirotsugu on drums. After this song they played 9 other, and then they went out with a bang, as if the show was over... But wait.. the DVD cover said there was still other 17 songs to be played.

After a couple of minutes Shibata came out. Regretfully I cannot speak Japanese so I have no clue what he says, but I have a feeling he-s talking about the band and it beginnings... So he start calling people to the stage, who? Well the original members of the band. They played classic Anthem songs, the songs they used to play when that line up was active. For this "stage"of the show I-ve chosen to show you a song called Victim in Your Eyes, form the Tightrope album that came up in 1986. The line up for this song is  Shibata "Ski" Naoto on bass, Sakamoto Eizo on vocals, Fukuda Hiroya on guitar and Ohuchi "Mad" Takamasa on drums.

The original line up released 3 albums and, in 1988, Sakamoto left the band and went to pursue his own proyect: Animetal, a band every anime & tokusatsu fan should listen to. Anyhow, they got Morikawa Yukio to replace Sakamoto and thus in the tour at this time Sakamoto left the stage and Morikawa joined the band and played some other song of his "era" with Anthem. This is Hunting Time, from the Hunting Time album (1989)

In 1990 Anthem dealt with another departure. Fukuda left the band and Nakama "Shadow Walker" Hideaki joined. This guy is hilarious by the way. This next song is from the album No Smoke Without Fire (1990), one of my favourite songs: Shadow Walk.

Nakama left the band after recording just that one album and the search for a new guitarist began. Good thing these guys found Shimizu Akio, perhaps the best guitar player the band have had, technically speaking of course. They released just one album though, Domestic Booty in 1992 and after this they disbanded. "Final" line up: Shibata "Ski" Naoto on bass, Morikawa Yukio on vocals, Shimizu Akio on guitar and Ohuchi "Mad" Takamasa on drums. This song is called Venom Strike.

The band took a rather long hiatus and then, on 2000, they were joined by the legendary Graham Bonnet and released an album, with him on vocals, that featured all the classics sung in English. Great stuff. Unfortunately I have no knowledge of them ever being in a live show, so I'll just leave 2 songs here: Gypsy Ways and Blinded Pain.

In 2001 original singer Sakamoto Eizo rejoined the band and Ohuchi Takamasa was replaced with Homma Hirotsugu. These were the guys we watched in the first video, so I'm not gonna post any more stuff about them, but I will recommend that you listed to songs like: Eternal Warrior, Rescue You, The Sign, Immortal Bind, Freak Out, Running Blood, DIM and I better stop before I name all of them. To close this up I will post 2 more videos, why? Because they are awesome. After the show was done they came back out... all 8 members and played 2 more songs. Here they are. Do You Understand, from No Smoke Without Fire, and Wild Anthem, from their very first album: Anthem.

I hope you've enjoyed this. No go back to the top and play the videos again and/or go get the albums. It's the power of Metal that compels you!
